About Alex
Alex Hill is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and professional Art Therapist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and Art Therapy. She works with older teens, adults, older adults, and couples, supporting clients through anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions.
Known for her warm, authentic, and calming presence, Alex creates a space where clients can feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. She has a particular interest in supporting Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs) and helping clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and more meaningful connections with themselves and others.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or navigating a significant life change, Alex believes therapy can be an opportunity to better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and move toward lasting growth and healing.
Therapeutic Approach
Alex takes a trauma-informed, person-centred, and collaborative approach to counselling. She believes that every client is the expert in their own life and works alongside them to create a therapeutic experience that feels supportive, empowering, and tailored to their unique needs and goals.
Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Adlerian Therapy, and Gottman-informed couples therapy, Alex helps clients gain insight, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful change. When appropriate, she may also integrate mindfulness, somatic, creative, and art therapy techniques to support deeper exploration and healing.
